Ipoh Food Trip (24 Hrs-7 Meals)

As you can see, I'm getting lazier and lazier. So, not much descriptions, just let yourself be picture overdosed.

Zhi Wei, partner in crime

Unidentified entity-because he keep mocking me that I will surely blog bout the trip... DUH!

The Ipoh girl, Kristine which is apparently Christin...lol

Not lottery, parking coupons so that we don't get summons. So much easier than the one we have in PJ or KL

1) Foh San Dim Sum

It was super duper nice despite being a little pricey in Ipoh terms but definitely hard to get in KL

The unique item, Po Loh Pau (Pineapple Buns). Not the HK type. Real pineapple and pork in a bun. Imagine Chinese Hawaiian Pizza...

Then we walked around to digest...

The famous Ipoh Salt Baked Chicken

The better stall...

Zoom in: Didn't bought any cause we were scare away by the two "ambassador". Very Ipoh indeed!

Having sore throat, so must get some Strepsils or will I miss all the food ahead.

While the two still digesting...

2) Nam Heong Old Town White Coffee

The famous white coffee... I always go for the cold one... (can actually get it in Taman Midah, so why the journey?)

Handmade egg tarts

Had the Char Keoy Teow. It was not bad.

Belly very full...

But still can eat happily!

Next on, Sam Poh Tong and Gunung Rapat

The haunted house on the way...notice the temple like building above...hmmm

One of the Sam Poh Tong

Must pray or else no point going into a temple...despite it did not bless me to enter NUS!

Someone making donations....

Yah right! Asking for 4D number got lah... He really shakes vigorously... The number did came out...just in the wrong order

Hungry tortoises aiming at us...

Will do anything for bread!

3) Gunung Rapat Asam Laksa

Was okay, I still prefer Penang/SS2. Much more "gau" and spicy.

Gunung Rapat Heong Peng. This is damn good! Highly recomended.

Freshly baked.

4) Famous Yong Tau Fu

Don't know the taste cause I'm still digesting my Asam Laksa.

5) Old Town Steamed Egg Custard.

This is damn good also...complimentary glass of cold water somemore.

After that, we call it a rest... Went to Ipoh Parade for movie but there's none that we haven't watch...so we decided to....

Visit Ipoh's famous karaoke centre... K Box. Lol

Singing is very good for digestion... Zhi Wei is caught with the mic...horrr

6) Ipoh Chicken Beans Sprout

Forgot to take pictures, but it is damn good... especially the taugeh...twice the size u can get in KL.

More biscuit shopping. This time Sek Keh Mah and Tau Sar Peng for my sis...

7) Tung Ku Teng Grill Fish

Very nicely done...and the rest of the food there looks good too...

So, that's all for the trip...was really fulfilling...so much so someone can't take it anymore at the end...

It was really worth it...

just a little more...

King Elizabeth the 3rd!!! He is too tired at that time... lack of sleep...
